Dr Lauren Cumberpatch

Qualifications: MBChB, PGCertWHlth, DCH, FRNZCGP

I grew up in Mt Pleasant and have spent most of my life here in Christchurch. I studied medicine at University of Otago, and graduated in 2010. Prior to training in general practice, I worked in a variety of hospital-based specialties in Christchurch and Palmerston North. I began my GP training in 2014 and completed my specialist GP fellowship in 2019.
I enjoy the variety of work and continuity of care in general practice. I have a particular interest in women’s health, including period issues, contraception, sexual health, and menopause. I perform pipelle biopsies and insert IUDs, including Mirena.
In my free time, I enjoy keeping active with reformer Pilates, walking my dog in the Port Hills, and going on adventures around New Zealand with my husband and two young children.

Availability - Monday and Tuesday afternoon, Thursday morning, all day Friday

I will be away on maternity leave from 30 July 2022.
